I had the pleasure of collaborating with Something Something, a trailblazing digital-native social media agency renowned for revolutionising the music industry through captivating storytelling and immersive world-building. Our joint project aimed to create a unique and memorable corporate gifting experience.
Together, we developed a distinctive rosemary-led chip seasoning that combines rich, aromatic flavours with a touch of elegance. The seasoning is housed in a beautifully designed spice shaker, featuring an elegant label that adds a sophisticated touch to the product.
This collaboration showcased our ability to blend creativity with practical application, resulting in a gift that stands out in both flavour and presentation. The project not only highlighted the innovative spirit of both our brands but also reinforced our commitment to delivering high-quality, unique products that leave a lasting impression.

Newfoundland Diagnostics - Feel The Burn -

I collaborated with Newfoundland Diagnostics, a leading expert in at-home health testing kits, to create a truly unique and groundbreaking hot sauce. Our goal was to raise awareness about the often overlooked and stigmatized issue of urinary tract infections (UTIs). This condition predominantly affects women, yet is frequently downplayed by men.
To bring attention to this important health issue, we developed a hot sauce designed to mimic the burning sensation experienced during a UTI. This unconventional approach was intended to spark conversations and highlight the discomfort and pain that many individuals endure. By creating a product that physically simulates the symptoms of a UTI, we aimed to foster empathy and understanding among those who might not fully grasp the severity of the condition.
Our collaboration with Newfoundland Diagnostics not only showcased our innovative spirit but also demonstrated our commitment to addressing critical health issues in an engaging and impactful way. This project underscored the importance of breaking down stigmas and promoting open dialogue about common yet often misunderstood health concerns.

Moot Brewery - National Star Wars Day -
May The Fourth 2024
Inspired by the iconic universe of Star Wars, I teamed up with Moot Brewery to create a one-of-a-kind taste experience that combines the force of craft beer with the intensity of hot sauce. At Moot's Microbrewery in Kent, Founder Calvin and I embarked on this exciting collaboration to bring a truly unique product to life.
The centerpiece of our journey is the Limited Edition "Utinni" pastry stout. This rich beer is crafted with full-on caramel, slightly salty miso, and a big hit of peanut butter. With chocolatey undertones, sweet lactose, and hints of coffee, this flavour-packed stout offers an extraordinary taste sensation.
Alongside the beer, we developed the "Togu Togu" hot sauce, a decadent blend that echoes the richness of a traditional Mexican Mole dish. This luxurious sauce combines the deep richness of caramel, the umami complexity of miso, and the nutty sweetness of peanut butter, creating a symphony of flavours that is both bold and unforgettable.
Our collaboration showcases the innovative spirit and craftsmanship of both brands. Whether you're a Jedi Master of flavour or a Sith Lord of spice, this limited edition pairing is sure to awaken the force within you, providing an unparalleled culinary adventure.

I’ve had the honour of being entrusted by the legendary Chef and fire cooking enthusiast, Matthew Burgess, to oversee the production of three of his exceptional chilli sauces, including the 2 Star Great Taste Award-winning Blak Fire! Matthew’s culinary journey is nothing short of impressive, with experience in top establishments in both Wellington and London.
In addition to his hands-on culinary work, Matthew runs his own food consultancy business, Kaiwhenua, which means "Food from the Land" in his native Maori language. Through Kaiwhenua, he provides invaluable expertise to various food-related ventures, further cementing his influence in the culinary world.
Matthew is also a proud representative of high-profile brands like Big Green Egg, known for their premium outdoor cooking equipment. His sauces have gained significant recognition and are now available in several high-end retailers, including Selfridges, Provenance Butchers, HG Walter, and Big Green Egg. This widespread availability showcases the quality and appeal of his products, making them a must-have for any chilli sauce enthusiast.

Sweet & Chilli - Air Mary Bloody Mary Mix -

This was a new avenue for me as I took on the scale up development and production of a spicy Bloody Mary Mix with Sweet & Chilli as part of their Christmas corporate gifting strategy. There's a really fun bit of history to this mix as the original recipe was devised by one of the founders who wanted to enjoy a really good in-flight Bloody Mary when they traveled and would take a small bottle of the mix onboard.
Air Mary won a Gold Medal at the 2024 IWSC (International Wine and Spirits Awards) too and it's incredible to know that something I helped develop and bring to market has gone on to gain such a prestigious award!

Green & Hilse - Santorgreeni Wedding Favours - Sep 2023
In the breathtaking setting of Santorini, Greece, where love and beauty converge, I had the privilege of crafting a unique wedding favour that perfectly encapsulated the essence of a romantic couple's special day. We began by handpicking the finest sun-kissed green Jalapeno chillies, ensuring the highest quality and freshest flavours for our creation. To honour the bride's South of France heritage, we infused the sauce with a "French" amount of garlic, adding a personal touch that was both meaningful and delicious.
The production process was a true labor of love, mirroring the couple's commitment and devotion to each other. Our artisanal approach ensured that each bottle was meticulously crafted with precision and care. We went a step further by customising each label with a playful combination of their names and the enchanting island paradise, transforming each bottle into a cherished keepsake for their guests.
As the couple exchanged vows against the stunning backdrop of a Santorini sunset, our hot sauce favour stood as a symbol of their union. Just as the ingredients blended harmoniously in each bottle, their love story came together in perfect harmony. This special hot sauce served as a small yet poignant reminder of a day filled with love, flavour, and the timeless beauty of Greece.

Craft Beer Cabin - 5th Birthday Sucker Punch - Aug 2023
In the bustling heart of South Norwood's High Street lies Craft Beer Cabin, a vibrant taproom known for its craft beers, natural wines, and small batch spirits. To celebrate Craft Beer Cabin's 5th birthday, I had the pleasure of producing a limited edition Lime and Ginger hot sauce, inspired by owner Nick's Lime and Ginger infused Lover Fighter Liquor.
On the day of the celebration, Little Mouse, the neighbouring cheesemonger, offered a killer celebratory cheese toastie. This delectable treat paired perfectly with the zesty, fiery kick of the hot sauce, delivering a mild, citrussy punch that delighted everyone. It truly was a match made in heaven, creating unforgettable flavours and marking a birthday to remember!

Guzzl in Brixton Market was one of my very first stockists way back in 2018. Over the years, they've supported me with invaluable advice and repeat custom, helping to shape and grow my brand. To celebrate our enduring partnership, we decided it was high time to join forces and create something truly special for their customers. The result? An exclusive buffalo sauce that embodies our shared passion for bold, exciting flavours.
Introducing Guzzalo, Guzzl’s own hot sauce that's an absolute snorter! Crafted with a meticulous blend of ripe, red cayenne peppers, the sauce is perfectly balanced with the aromatic touch of oregano and the natural sweetness of honey. This combination gently seduces your taste buds, providing a delightful symphony of flavours.
But don't be fooled by its initial charm—the healthy dose of habanero chilli adds a boar's kick that leaves a lasting impression. This fiery masterpiece is destined to redefine your experience with wings and other dishes, making them unforgettable.

Hop Burns & Black - Deptford Project -

For my second collaboration with Hop Burns & Black, I had the honour of creating a special sauce to celebrate their Deptford shop's birthday. HBB requested a Bajan-style sauce with a fruity twist, so I set to work crafting a vibrant base using fermented yellow habanero chillies, turmeric, and mustard.
Experimenting with different exotic fruits, I finally settled on a harmonious trio that complemented the base perfectly without being overpowering. The result was the Deptford "Super Fruity Hot Sauce," a true celebration of flavours!
This sauce boasts unreal levels of fruit, starting from its spicy Bajan-style base and topped with generous lashings of mango, pineapple, and passion fruit. The combination of sweet, hot, and delicious flavours makes it a standout addition to any meal. #SouthLondonBestLondon

Hop Burns & Black - Peckham Project - May 2023 - Ongoing
For this cheeky collaboration, I teamed up with the legends at Hop Burns & Black. They tasked me with developing a classic Scotch Bonnet sauce that truly represented their delightful store in Peckham. The challenge was finding the very best Scotch Bonnets, as not all chillies are created equal. After an exhaustive search, I managed to source some absolute gems from a farm in Rwanda, where only the finest chillies can be found. These exceptional Scotch Bonnets really made the sauce shine.

After one of the hottest summers on record, fitness freaks GYMBOX brought the heat back by challenging brave Brits to feel the burn with the World's hottest gym class, "Ring of Fire", combining chilli eating with working out.
Starting with a ginger shot and squats 'warm up', the burn in body, mind and mouth increased as participants took on the heats. Starting with Jalapeño spice paired with reverse barbell lunges, the intensity increased all the way up to the world’s hottest chilli, the infamous California Reaper - coming in at a whopping 2.2 million Scoville Heat Units (SHUs) - before taking on a 700M bike sprint!

Participants of this whacky event all received a Limited-edition Lazy Scientist x GYMBOX "Ring of Fire" hot sauce. For this finale I went with a curry spiced peach number packing some serious heat from the Carolina Reaper chilli and a good dose of homegrown Apocalypse X powder!
This project was featured in The Metro Online , The Times, The Evening Standard, Twisted Food and Seen In The City.

Brixton Chamber Orchestra - Charity Collab - July 2022 - Ongoing
For this project I partnered with another local Brixton Charity, the Brixton Chamber Orchestra to produce a hot sauce that they could use to raise some funds during their Summer Estates Tour 2022.
The orchestra is a versatile group of instrumentalists which provides thrilling live orchestral experiences for wide-ranging audiences in Brixton and beyond. They champion orchestral music, presenting it to new audiences in unexpected venues, revelling in innovative collaborations with all sorts of artists and genres - Grime to Gospel, Disco to Drum and Bass, Classical to Jazz, and everything in-between.
They appear all over Brixton - in the market, pubs, clubs, parks, churches & community centres. Sometimes performing symphonies as a full 30-piece orchestra and twice a year, they tour Lambeth's housing estates, performing eclectic programmes to hundreds from the local community.
They are Brixton's own orchestra - a product of local talent and the unique blend of creative energy and cultural diversity which characterises the area.
I have now produced and donated over 500 bottles to this incredible cause.

Butter Up Coffee - Coffee Sriracha - Jun 2022
For this collaboration I partnered with one of my favourite stockists in Tulse Hill, London. Together with Matt and Jam of Butter Up Coffee we devised a KETO fermented coffee hot sauce with a big hit of scotch bonnet heat and depth from horseradish and turmeric that would work really nicely as a dip or better yet as a Buffalo style hot sauce when mixed with melted butter.

Butter Up do Keto, with their signature BUTTER UP Coffee; a unique way to explore the Keto diet for the first time.
Having personally tried their coffee I can vouch for their Butter Up being a big hitting dose of caffeine and delicious fats to really get you going and carry you through the day!

Brixton Streetwear - Charity Collaboration -

In Partnership with the mighty Brixton Streetwear crew I came up with two sauces based on the brief "Famous Golden Arches - Sweet Curry Dip". This is an ongoing project with all profits going to the Brixton Soup Kitchen Charity.

Brixton Soup Kitchen is a community space for homeless people or people in desperate need. The Soup Kitchen provides food, drink and companionship in a warm and friendly environment on a weekly basis. They have served over 20,000 meals either eaten on site or distributed during food drop offs and outreach sessions, all made possible with the donations and support from local community members as well as local businesses.

It's been amazing to be part of such a worthwhile cause and give a little something back to the local community where Lazy Scientist Sauces began.

The Virginia BBQ In A Box - Fathers Day -

I partnered with Catoctin Creek Distillery in Virginia and Tom Hixson of Smithfield to create a limited edition Father’s Day gift - a Virginia-style BBQ party in a box. The box had everything you needed to recreate an authentic Virginia style barbecue at home. Three limited edition rye-based hot sauces, a bottle of award-winning rye from our friends at Catoctin Creek Distillery and our friends at Tom Hixson chose the best American-style meat cuts to accompany them. Customers also received a Spotify playlist, instructions for Cornhole (a traditional Virginia garden game), recipes for sides and cocktails and more…The Virginia BBQ In A Box was not just a unique and fun gift but also incredible value for nearly 5kg of meat, as well as the rye, sauces and added extras, comfortably serving six people.
This project was featured in Sloan Magazine, Hotelier & Hospitality, Restaurant Update, Eat-Drink-Sleep and Foodie Explorers.
